What is the A* Algorithm?
Based on Djikstra’s Algorithm, A* Algorithm is a search algorithm which is used to perform Path Finding. It is used to help traverse a map and find the least cost path between two points on our graph. A* is a complete and optimal algorithm. A complete algorithm is one which finds all possible solutions and an optimal algorithm finds the most efficient one. A* Algorithm works with the help of wieghted graphs, which are graph where each path has a certain value assigned to it. Along with this, the nodes in our graphs are also given some heuristic values which makes the algorithm even faster.
