When I started learning english 2 years ago I started with reviwing the grammar I heard about it before in the school but don't be hard on yourself with grammar, then I started duolingo for 85 days and also I wasn't write down the new words too much just some of them, after that I started the funnest part of the learning: watching youtube and discovring the english part of the internet for a very long monthes… and yeah now I can understand english people very well

I’m a Russian native speaker, and it took me almost 4 years to reach C2 level in English. Now I’m contemplating about taking up German but I’d like to learn it using English because there are lots of similarities between these 2 languages. Thanks for this informative video!

Hello, I am new to this technique and I want to learn Japanese. I started with Hiragana but when I try to find common words online (1000 words or 1500) it just shows a mixture of katakana and kanji?
    Guys can you help out?
    And possibly give some advice?

"In this video I am going to lie my ass off and speak absolutely terribly in multiple languages that I don't actually know." Nobody can become conversationally fluent in a year in ANY language, much less something like Japanese. 6 months is a joke. Total scam to sell garbage.

If this method sounds simple—maybe even a little too obvious—that's because it is. There aren't really any secrets to language learning. It takes a lot of input and some output over a long period of time. Props to Ikenna for not trying to dress anything up with fancy "learning hacks" that are actually useless and just bloat the product for marketing purposes, and even more props for giving a realistic timeline instead of this "fluent in 30 days" crap that only demotivates people after they fail to live up to that impossible standard.

I can't vouch for the paid course specifically, but I can only imagine what you're paying for is Ikenna having done the work to curate the input at each competency level for you. Yes, with enough time and energy, you could do that yourself for free. But I imagine for a lot of people it will be worth having that curation done by a professional instead. Anyway, best of luck Ikenna, I liked your channel and I hope you're health and your business will continue to look up.

I think this really is the best method! Adapt where necessary to your own style, but that's the core. Thank you Ikenna for making this video, so helpful!

I wish that I could be able to take the course, but I'm only 13, and broke, lol. My parents aren't too keen on me learning a new language, but I'm already ahead on studies from school so they don't care. But still, they wont let me buy a course to learn Japanese because they say its a waste of time. Its a little disappointing, because I really want to learn it the proper way, but all I have is free online courses. And those aren't really helpful. Well, not the ones that I use. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good website, or websites to learn Japanese? It would really help 🙂
