The right way to: Take away a Rusted Receiver Hitch! Tech Tip: Warmth is Your Good friend!!!

I picked up a donor rig for the tow pig on a budget! However the 1998 Ford Expedition has a hitch caught within the receiver that we have to get out. Okay, we do not actually NEED to get it out but when the remainder of the rig isn’t any good we not less than have a receiver hitch we will make the most of someplace else. Hopefully you discover the following tips helpful! As all the time, thanks for watching!

Can you show us how you take that huge nut off the bottom of the ball on the hitch? I need to flip my ball around to other side of hitch because my trailer jack sits a little too low and will snag stuff. I don’t have a wrench big enough for that nut.

I've never seen anyone use a wire wheel that long, or that worn I should say. I feel like the cheap ones I buy just start slinging wires at a certain point, then I change it.

These short tech-tip and quick fix vids are great! Really bridges the gap waiting for the full length (awesome) main channel content! Some specialty tool/vintage tool show and tells would be cool. Any new shop upgrade/maintenance ideas in the works? Maybe a winter prep video (I know…shhh).

Tool box porn tour? (think actual tool/drawer layout showoff, not vintage Snap-On calendars LoL). Is it "every tool has its place in a roll cab"…or are you a "shuffle/shake every drawer 3 times to close it because it's 20lbs of shit in a 5lb bag in here" kinda guy? Please deny the latter if so…

Also, I feel like a real deal "Line-Lock" install video followed immediately by a John Force style tire warm-up that progresses into full tire annihilation is in order. A "Lincoln Lock" how-to with an optional "rear tire bleach sprayer install" segment earns extra credit! FYI: Old trailer tires really pour off some smoke…just sayin'.

Speaking of beer….you gotta find yourself some Narragansett Lager. It's an old time New England brand that's regained popularity…and it is GOOD. It's the stuff Quint (of Jaws fame) drinks on the boat…so it's automatically great. "Here's to swimmin' with bow-legged women!"

Instead of giving yourself a heart attack with the sledge…..I was thinking put a lot of tension on it with a come along and just heat till she comes out , maybe just a "Couple hits", to assist…????

My go to beer that I keep in my vending machine is Busch light. But lately I've been knocking down those mago carts. Not Much alcohol but they'll sneak up on ya. I charge 50 bucks to take out rusted in receiver hitches. Same method as you. Beating and heating. I would be ok with seeing you work on more newish stuff on the 2nd channel. Also fabrication. But No AC work. That Mortske was pretty.painful to watch 😏
