I miss using Win+A to pull up the action center/notifications. Now it opens some tiny settings menu (that used to be combined in AC). Idk if there's new shortcut for the notification menu now

Regarding using Whatsapp on your PC, there does exist a desktop version of Whatsapp web, which I much prefer to using the OG Whatsapp web.

LET ME MOVE MY F!$^!#$ TASKBAR, MICROSOFT. Honestly, I'm done with Windows once W10 support is gone, maybe sooner. Too much stuff is taken away or replaced with useless and confusing features.

You can rename a file/folder by right clicking, then at the VERY top click the 3rd icon (the one that looks like a small box with a line going through it).

Why they decided to use a graphical icon for this instead of the "Rename" text option, I don't know. But it's still there in the same # of clicks.

    XP was good
    Vista was abysmally Bad
    7 was very Good
8 was Bad, but 8.1 fixed it a bit
    10 is pretty Good
    11 …?

Friendly reminder to skip every other version of Windows as the pattern never lies

In reference to the changing of file names, can you not just highlight the file and then click the name to change the name? That's always how I've done it for as long as I can remember.

I like how this is less how much better Win11 is than Win10, this is more of a question of whether or not it's on par

I only think that windows 11 is real by the new coming architecture of the processors (ARM-like 1 powerful core, 4 weak cores) of intel (and soon amd taking the same architecture)

I've been using ubuntu ever since they announced windows 10 was going out of support as soon as 2025. And honestly i plan to go deeper and get through the process of installing arch just to get that edge on minimalism and 0 bloatware

When the world was still normal: This should open as fast as technologically possible, cause- why shouldnt it
Now: Fuck the advanced technology were using, this should have a delay on so it looks like a futuristic special effect. Now its cool
I dunno why there seems to be a trend lately with illogical bs becoming super normal to people. Like how i bought my gtx1660ti a year ago for 300 bucks, now im supposed to pay 500+ for it. LOGIC

From my experience Windows 11 (beta channel insider build) has actually been substantially more responsive than windows 10. Everything just happens much faster, and it feels like it was actually designed to all work together. It's interesting that it seemed to work so terribly in your case.

Also, while condensing context menus sucks, essential functions like rename and delete have had standard keybinds (F2 and Delete, respectively) forever, so it might kinda be on you if you're still clicking through a context menu to do those things. I feel like Windows 11 is targeting the surface devices in particular, since the UI follows the same design language as those products, and it works exceptionally well on a touch screen in comparison to Windows 10.

The rename button is actually the 3rd icon on the top. I don't like how they don't label it but it can at least save a click.

Sorry but the fourth option in the first row (it’s an icon) lets you rename. I think that point is ignorance on your part. Sigh.

The stacked tabs really do have a use and its to minimalise your taskbar.
Going from XP – W7, I HATED the stacked windows, however I grew to accept it as I found having 3 chromes, 4 windows from steam and maybe something else cluttering my task bar. HOWEVER, I do understand for a professional, it may get irritating/cause hassle. So for a home user, I dont see there is a problem here, but for professionals/workstations, then yes I see why you believe this feature to have no benefit or use.
We're all entitled to an opinion, but I believe saying this is useless, is incorrect.
